Short answer: the best RTX 5070 laptop for most people is the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 10. It runs the RTX 5070 at full power (115 W) with a 16-inch 2.5K OLED screen, and Notebookcheck found it quieter and cooler than the RTX 5070 Ti version. For less money, the Acer Nitro V 16S AI and Gigabyte Gaming A16 have been on sale for about $1,200–$1,250, but both cap the GPU at 85 W. For a 14-inch laptop, look at a discounted 2025 ASUS Zephyrus G14 or the Razer Blade 14.

Before you buy: GPU power matters more than the name
Every laptop on this page says “RTX 5070”, but they don’t all perform the same. Laptop makers choose how much power the GPU gets. The laptop RTX 5070 comes with 8GB of GDDR7 video memory or, since Nvidia added a second version in April 2026, 12GB (Notebookcheck), and can be set up to 100 W, plus extra Dynamic Boost power from the processor (Notebookcheck). In practice you’ll see two kinds of RTX 5070 laptop:
- Full power (about 115 W with boost): for example the Legion Pro 5i and Razer Blade 14. These get the most out of the chip.
- Power-limited (85 W): many cheaper models, including the Nitro V 16S and Gaming A16. They’re slower, especially at 1440p, but run cooler and cost less. PC Gamer suggests leaning on DLSS to make up the difference.
Look for the GPU wattage (“TGP”) on the spec sheet before you buy. It’s often a bigger difference than the processor. Our laptop GPU power database lists it for 91 RTX 50 laptop configurations.
The best RTX 5070 laptops in 2026
1. Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 10: best RTX 5070 laptop
The Legion Pro 5i runs its RTX 5070 at 115 W, next to an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX and a 16-inch 2.5K 165Hz OLED screen. Notebookcheck rates it “good” (86%) and calls it “a very capable, high-quality gaming laptop at a relatively moderate price”, with a sleek design and an OLED screen. Compared with the RTX 5070 Ti version, it runs quieter, cooler and on less power. Ports include Thunderbolt 4, HDMI and Ethernet, plus Wi-Fi 7.
Good to know: at about 2.3 kg it’s a desk-first laptop, and the lid is a fingerprint magnet. The RTX 5070 Ti version gives up to 25 percent more GPU performance and 12GB of video memory for roughly €500–700 more, according to Notebookcheck. Notebookcheck’s test configuration was $1,749 at Amazon.

2. Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10: best OLED value
The 2026 Legion 5 (Gen 11) launched with an RTX 5060 at most. Lenovo’s spec sheet now also lists the Intel Legion 5i Gen 11 with a 12GB RTX 5070, but a discounted Gen 10 is still the cheaper way to get an RTX 5070 in a Legion 5. It pairs the GPU with a 15.1-inch 2.5K 165Hz OLED in a lighter, roughly 1.9 kg chassis, and it’s being discounted now that Gen 11 is out. Our Legion 5 Gen 11 vs Gen 10 guide compares the two.
Good to know: stock of a previous-generation model can run out, and configurations vary, so check the exact GPU and its wattage in the listing. The glossy OLED reflects light in bright rooms.

3. Acer Nitro V 16S AI: cheapest RTX 5070 laptop worth buying
PC Gamer found the Nitro V 16S AI at $1,249.99 at Newegg (down from $1,399.99) and called it “pretty much the cheapest RTX 5070 gaming laptop you can find right now, from a major manufacturer”. It’s one of Acer’s slimmer S-line models, with an 8-core Ryzen 7 260, a 16-inch 1600p 180Hz screen, 16GB of DDR5 and, unusually at this price, a 1TB SSD (PC Gamer).
Good to know: the GPU tops out at 85 W, so it’s slower than full-power models at 1600p. A thin chassis like this is also likely to be louder under load.

4. Gigabyte Gaming A16: budget alternative
The Gaming A16 is another RTX 5070 laptop that has dipped to about $1,200: PC Gamer found it at $1,199.99 at Newegg (list $1,349.99) and praised its chassis, which its reviewer called “beautiful” on the RTX 5060 version. It has an Intel Core i7-13620H, a 16-inch 1200p 165Hz IPS screen, 16GB of DDR5-5200 and a 1TB SSD (PC Gamer).
Good to know: like the Nitro, its GPU is limited to 85 W, and the processor is an older generation. The lower 1200p resolution suits the power-limited GPU, though.

5. Acer Nitro V 17 AI: best budget 17-inch
If you want a bigger screen on a budget, Notebookcheck calls the Nitro V 17 AI “one of the most affordable 17-inch gaming laptops with an RTX 5070”. Its review found it surprisingly quiet and efficient, because Acer tunes it for efficiency rather than maximum frame rates, and it has USB4 and Wi-Fi 6E.
Good to know: Notebookcheck notes compromises in the display, the memory configuration and some benchmark results, plus a 720p webcam. Its price data is from Europe (around €1,199–€1,249), so check US listings.

6. ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025): best 14-inch value
The 2025 G14 puts an RTX 5070 in a 1.5 kg aluminium body with a 14-inch 3K 120Hz OLED. Since the 2026 model arrived with a big price jump (GamesRadar+ found the 2026 RTX 5070 Ti model roughly $1,000 more than the equivalent 2025 configuration), a discounted 2025 G14 is the better buy for most people. Our Zephyrus G14 price guide compares all three generations.
Good to know: the memory is soldered, so choose 32GB if you can. A 14-inch chassis also can’t cool the GPU as well as the 16-inch Legions.

7. Razer Blade 14 (2025): best premium 14-inch
The Blade 14 runs its RTX 5070 at up to 115 W in a 15.7 mm aluminium chassis with a 3K 120Hz OLED, which is rare for a 14-inch laptop. Reviewers praise the build, screen and performance for the size. See our Razer Blade 14 (2025) guide for the full specs and review round-up.
Good to know: it costs more than laptops with similar specs, battery life is short under load, the fans get loud at full tilt, and the memory can’t be upgraded.

RTX 5070 vs RTX 5060 vs RTX 5070 Ti laptops
- RTX 5060 (8GB): RTX 5060 laptops launched from $1,099, against $1,299 for RTX 5070 models. The original 8GB RTX 5070 has the same video memory as the RTX 5060, so it mainly buys higher frame rates; the newer 12GB RTX 5070 also leaves more room for high texture settings. Under $1,200, see our best gaming laptops under $1,200.
- RTX 5070 (8GB or 12GB): the sweet spot for 1440p if you get a full-power model, and the 12GB version is worth choosing when the price is close. In Notebookcheck’s first tests, an 85 W RTX 5070 was only slightly ahead of the old RTX 4070 laptop (up to 12% in synthetic benchmarks), so a discounted RTX 4070 laptop isn’t a bad buy either.
- RTX 5070 Ti (12GB): 40–60% faster in Notebookcheck’s synthetic tests, though that compared a full-power 5070 Ti with an 85 W 5070. The extra video memory helps with future games. In the same Legion Pro 5, the gap was up to 25% in games for roughly €500–700 more.
RTX 5070 laptop prices in 2026, and Black Friday
RTX 5070 laptops launched from $1,299, but higher memory prices in 2026 have pushed many models up. In January, PC Gamer wrote that most RTX 5070 laptops it was finding were “well north of the $1,500 mark”. That makes sales important: a power-limited model at about $1,200, or a full-power Legion well under its usual price, is a good deal. Black Friday is November 27, 2026, and last year’s models (the Legion 5i Gen 10 and the 2025 G14) are the ones most likely to see deep cuts. Our Black Friday laptops guide tracks them.
Our verdict
The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 10 is the best RTX 5070 laptop for most people: full GPU power, a great OLED screen and quiet, efficient running. For less, the Legion 5i Gen 10 is the OLED value pick while stock lasts, and the Acer Nitro V 16S AI and Gigabyte Gaming A16 get you an RTX 5070 for about $1,200 on sale, at 85 W. For a 14-inch laptop, choose a discounted 2025 Zephyrus G14, or the Razer Blade 14 if build quality matters most.
