On October 12, 2026, every G14 we found on Amazon US was sold by a third-party reseller, often above ASUS’s own price, so compare with the ASUS store and other retailers before you buy, and watch for Black Friday (November 27) deals. The 2026 AMD version (GA403, RTX 5060) wasn’t listed in the US when we checked.
G14 (2026): what’s new, and is it worth the price?
For 2026, ASUS split the G14 into an Intel version (GU405, up to an RTX 5080) and an AMD version (GA403, with an RTX 5060). Both keep the 14-inch 3K 120Hz OLED, now rated at 1,100 nits peak with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000, in a CNC-milled aluminium chassis that starts at 1.5 kg with a 73Wh battery.
Reviews are positive about the hardware and critical of the price. Notebookcheck calls it one of the best compact gaming laptops with a brighter OLED. GamesRadar+ says it does a lot with its extra wattage but is “certainly charging for it”: the RTX 5070 Ti model costs roughly $1,000 more than the equivalent 2025 configuration. Reviewers also note that it runs cooler and lasts longer on battery than earlier G14s, and that there’s no haptic trackpad at this price.

The 2025 G14 has the same size, weight and 3K OLED format, with RTX 50-series graphics from the RTX 5060 up to the RTX 5080. With the 2026 model on sale, it’s the one to watch for discounts. The configurations break down like this:

The 2022 G14 launched around $1,599 with a Ryzen 9 6900HS and Radeon RX 6700S or 6800S graphics. It’s still a well-built, portable laptop for everyday work and lighter games, but its GPU is several generations behind and it lacks NVIDIA’s DLSS. Only buy one used or refurbished at a price well under half of a new RTX 5060 G14, and check the battery health and warranty.
